CANDY LANE ACRES
RULES AND REGULATIONS
PLEASE be safety conscious. Parents are required to supervise children.
Look around you and stay out of the way of horse. Keep your distractions to a minimum.
Horses are strong and unpredictable animals and you must always be alert when working around them.
- Barn hours are 8:00am to 9:00pm. You must notify Candy Lane Acres if you must be here outside normal business hours.
- Driveway speed limit is 5mph. This is a MUST for the safety of all visitors and animals
- No one under 18 should be left at stable without adult supervision
- No one under 18 can't ride without adult supervision (includes Boarding or Leasing)
- Dogs must be on leash.
- Please clean up after your horse in the aisle, ring, washing or parking area.
- Do Not handle, feed or ride another persons horse without the owners permission.
- NO indiscriminately feeding of hay or grain to any horse.
- You are responsible for children and visitors that you bring to the barn. The supervision of all children is required by each parent.
- No mounting or riding in the barn aisle.
- No smoking in the barn or indoor arena.
- Riding helmets and proper footwear are required for all riders.
- Horses should not be left unsupervised anywhere, especially in the cross ties.
- Turn out lights that are not in use.
- Keep gates and stall doors latched at all times.
- The Equine Activity Liability Act is in effect and states “You assume the risk of equine activities pursuant to the Pennsylvania law”. These signs are posted throughout the facility.
- ASK management…if you have questions or concerns about a horse, the facility, their care, etc.
- ALL riders must wear helmets regardless of age when jumping.
- Scheduled lessons have priority of the indoor arena.
- Standard waivers MUST be signed by anyone who boards, trains, rides or works a horse on the property.
- Candy Lane Acres is NOT responsible for any lost, stolen or damaged items left at the stable.
- Keep the barn clean. All “messes” made by your horse in the aisle ways is your responsibility to clean up.
- Dispose of refuse properly. Do not overstuff garbage bins. If a can is full, find another trashcan to put your garbage in. Recycle items ONLY should be put into marked containers.
- A $35 fee will be charged on all NSF checks.
- All boarders must sign a “Boarders Agreement” which states 30 days notice must be given prior to departing.
- Boarders will be charged accordingly for any medicines or supplements provided by Candy Lane Acres.
- All horses must participate in Candy Lane Acres worming program. Wormers must be provided to us by the boarder at specified times. A notice will be posted when needed and type to be provided. If you do not provide the proper wormer by the specified time, one will be provided by Candy Lane Acres and charges will be posted to your next Board Bill.
- Absolutely NO visitors are permitted in the pasture areas with the horses.
